Was working on the Astrology app and fixed chiron. The control mechanism still isn’t working, and will likely just leave it that way. Instead of using flash I’ve been looking at developing it in Canvas with html 5. Though Internet Explorer is being slow on implementing Canvas, they have indicated that they will have it working in IE9.
Working on the next generation astrology app that will look at Time of Influence. This will show the time of influence that each influence on a chart will last. Still working on the social aspect for this and building a database that will allow users to store their own charts. Looking at a payment mechanism for it that is pretty low cost for the users. Slowly progressing on this as the summer was pretty packed, will see if I can get an example of it out in the next couple of months.
Cheers!

Have wanted to go into retrograde explanations a little bit more. In preparation and discussion of a program that I was writing to track the dates of all the planets retrogrades and to expand to natal tracking. This post will have updates and expanded explanation of these Retrograde Phases.

Diagram: Retrograde Zone
When a planet goes retrograde, from Earth’s perspective, the planet is going backwards against the backdrop of stars.
So that means there is first an entrance to a set of degrees (phase 1: #1 & #2), then goes retrograde over those same degrees (phase 2 :#2 & #3), then goes direct or forward again over those same degrees (phase 3 : #3 & #4)
Phase 1 Explanation
When a planet moves into the 1st phase or retrograde zone, it enters a zone where routine patterns will be resistant to change. The energies will want to keep moving forward as it always had. The ideas and urges topple over on itself as it comes to Stationary (when the planet’s motion stops moving forward).
As it hits the Stationary period (for mercury about 3 days, other planets longer), the forward momentum stops. The wide eyes of deer in headlights, unfinished business rolls into the picture. It’s much like watching the traffic flow by you as the car engine dies because you forgot to check the oil.
Phase 2 Explanation
This is the more popular area of understanding of where things break down from the clear trail of evidence. On the first 1/2 of the retrograde (till the planet meets the Sun), there can be a humbling moment as the past is remembered and relearning takes place to exactly what were the lessons to be recapped. No one likes to view the mess that their ideals and urges made by inadequate planning.
This brings us right to the point that the planet meets the Sun. This is where we meet the feedback for the review of what we’ve learned from the mistakes made in the 1st Phase and found in the beginning of the 2nd phase. You must evaluate where you are, others will sound off on what they think, you’ll either nod at their acknowledgements or shake your head in disbelief / denial. This is a point of confrontation with the personal. The more in tune you are with what is happening at this point, the less stressful and confusing it will be.
The 2nd half of the retrograde acts a bit like a Scorpio, the review has been done and the accounts have been personalized. There is work to do and new adjustments to take into account. The first chiseling of the vision to correcting needs to be detailed.
Now we come to another Stationary period, but in this a sense of regained freedom bursts forth.
Phase 3 Explanation
All that was learned in the Phase 2 and meeting with the Sun has been learned. A renewed vigor for experiencing life comes to fruition.

Took awhile to get settled, but I think that I’m ready to start up working on the WolfCoast stuff again. Found WordPress and will see how easy it is to develop against.
I’ve added a picture captcha for non-registered visitors, hopefully I don’t also have to do it for registered users also. The Bot problem I had with the old blog was dispiriting.
Cheers!

Looking at planet patterns again. Been watching saturn conjunct mars patterns, it looks like it’s every ~2 years and 17 days (on average).
It will conjunct at 05 Virgo 28, charts with planets with degrees within a 7 degree orb will be influenced by this combination.
Saturn in mutable earth Virgo brings out the attentiveness to sift through details.
Mars in Virgo gives us the motivation and passion towards being thorough in everything we do.
Merge these 2 influences together and on the cohesive side we have a dedicated worker gluing through some of the hardest sifting with percision. On the disparent side there is swift recourse for sloppy methods.
Time of Influence
| Enters aspect 7 degrees applying |
6/24/2008 |
| Exact aspect 0 degrees |
7/10/2008 |
| Exits aspect 7 degrees separating |
7/24/2008 |
This is the dates that Saturn conjunct Mars has happened in the past. I also compared the delta between each of the conjuncts and also compare Mars retrograde.
| Delta |
Date @ sign degrees |
Mars Retrograde |
| |
7/30/2010 @ 00 lib 48 |
|
| 2y 10d |
7/10/2008 @ 05 vir 28 |
12/20/2009 - 3/09/2010 |
| 2y 23d |
6/17/2006 @ 08 leo 45 |
11-15-2007 – 1/30/2008 |
| 2y 24d |
5/24/2004 @ 11 can 18 |
10/02/2005 - 12/09/2005 |
| 2y 21d |
5/03/2002 @ 13 gem 53 |
7/29/2003 - 9/26/2003 |
| 2y 18d |
4/15/2000 @ 17 tau 19 |
5/11/2001 - 7/19/2001 |
Can watch it march through the signs, was looking for a pattern with the degrees, have to look at a larger set to see if there is an overall pattern. Learned that there is an easy rule of 2 years and 17 days for this pattern.

Took some pictures of the Lunar Eclipse tonight. Saturn was sitting right next to the moon (not included in this picture below).
I’ll do more of a write-up at a later time. The biggest notes that I have that are significant with and/or around this eclipse time period are:
-Pluto and Jupiter entering Capricorn (Saturn acts as the significator for the Capricorn era that we are entering till 2024 …Yes, it will be 16 years that Pluto will transit through Capricorn… not the normal 10-12 year cycles that all of us grew up with.)
- Saturn Conjunct Moon (be careful of “go it alone” attitudes, don’t allow guilt to play a substitute for emotional support)
- Saturn and Uranus Opposition from late 2007 to 2011, 5 exact oppositions in that time period. (Unruly public against authority)
- Neptune and Chiron Conjunct (harsh flu season)
- Mercury just going direct (who had communication and travel problems in the last 21 days?)
- Mars and Pluto Opposition (Mars was just retrograde and went direct, so passed Pluto’s orb for the 3rd time. First that comes to mind is all the talk that has spurned up about the US policy on Torture, blow-back effects are hard to admit for some.)

| Poem that came to me on Jan 21st.
Banking In Our Future
They’re coming over the borders of Mexico
Bringing their business & what they know
It’s the American Dream
The police don’t mind as long as they’re polite
We’re losing privilege and Constitutional Rights
It’s Homeland Security
The Amero is gaining as the dollar drops
Bleeding small business by the gobs
It’s 4 world currencies
The fed feigns in crisis & sells our stock
We’re slaving up to the age old banking clock
Sold a New American Century |
